Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HV/Substation Owner’s Representative to join our team for a 200MW utility-scale solar farm currently in the preconstruction phase in Indiana. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee and contribute to the successful delivery of a critical renewable energy infrastructure project. The Owner's Representative will serve as the primary liaison between the project owner and all stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication, adherence to project specifications, and overall project success.
Job Description
The HV/Substation Owner’s Representative will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of high-voltage electrical (HVE) and substation work for a large-scale solar farm. This includes managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and mitigating risks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVE and substation systems, with proven success in acting as an owner’s representative on similar utility-scale energy projects.
Our Expectations
Project Oversight: Act as the primary liaison between the project owner and all stakeholders to ensure alignment with the project’s objectives, timelines, and budgets.
High Voltage/Substation Expertise: Oversee all HV and substation components of the solar farm, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
Budget Management: Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards.
Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules using tools such as Procore, tracking progress and mitigating delays.
Subcontractor Coordination: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
Construction Monitoring: Conduct site visits to ensure that construction activities meet the design specifications and quality requirements.
Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation, including change orders, progress reports, and meeting minutes, using Procore.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to project execution, budget, and schedule.
Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.

Starting wage: $55 Hr.
Job Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in high-voltage electrical (HVE) and substation systems for solar farms or related utility-scale energy projects.
Previous Owner’s Rep Experience: Demonstrated ability to successfully represent project owners in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in project management software, including Procore, and strong understanding of HV and substation engineering principles.
Project Management Skills: Proven experience in budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing subcontractors.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Licenses: A valid driver’s license is required.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Travel: Willingness to travel to and work on-site in Indiana throughout the project’s duration.
